Empowering Mujeres, Transforming Agriculture
Mujeres in Agriculture y Más is a pioneering education and training initiative that supports farmworker women in California’s Central Valley by providing them with hands-on skills, career pathways, and leadership development in agriculture and related industries. With a 12–24 month learning model that blends classroom instruction, digital literacy, and on-the-job experience, participants build the confidence and credentials to access higher-paying jobs in agtech, horticulture, clean energy, and small-scale farming. The program addresses a critical gap in agricultural training by centering the experiences and potential of women, 32% of the region's farmworker labor force, positioning them not just as workers, but as future leaders and innovators in rural communities.

Harvesting Skills, Planting Opportunity
More than a workforce development program, Mujeres in Agriculture y Más is a movement to uplift and equip farmworker women to thrive as entrepreneurs and change-makers. Through culturally and linguistically responsive instruction, strong community partnerships, and access to vital USDA and small business resources, the program empowers women to own their agricultural journeys. Participants gain skills in plant science, digital technology, and business strategy, while also advancing community goals like food sovereignty and economic equity. With an expanding network of local partners and a growing cohort of graduates, Mujeres in Agriculture y Más is sowing the seeds of long-term prosperity for women and their families across the San Joaquin Valley.
